Her special day was celebrated with performances from the children of Dream of Flying at Pompeii’s ancient theatre, per People. Dream of Flying, or Sogno di Volare, is a youth art initiative of which Madonna is a patron through her Ray of Light Foundation.

The “Like a Virgin” crooner also posted a photo dump on her Instagram, wishing herself a happy birthday as she posed solo, with her twins, and finally, with her new beau – who even appears shirtless in a few snaps.

What is Akeem Morris background?

He was also a student athlete while at Stony Brook, per his LinkedIn, playing forward on the university’s football team. After graduating, he had a brief stint at a forward for Oyster Bay United FC, a New York-based team under the United Premier Soccer League. He is currently a football coach.

At the time, both Morris and Madonna posted about the shoot, with Morris sharing outtakes with the caption, “Jus a yute from Spanish Town TM. Thank you for the opportunity”, tagging Madonna.

Madonna had reportedly split from her ex-boyfriend of three years, Ahlamalik Williams, months before this shoot. However, she wasn’t linked to Morris until the Fourth of July this year, when she posted some loved-up photos with him on the ‘gram from an event held at Le Bain at The Standard in New York City.

As rumours about Madonna’s new beau were swirling, his ex, Reagan Rice, appeared to confirm the claims, taking to TikTok with a video that she captioned with a reference to Morris’ relationship with the singer. “Put a finger down if your boyfriend of three years is now dating Madonna #madonna #break-up #wtf #2024 #heartbreak,” she wrote under one post, hinting at her own past relationship with Morris and his new one with Madonna. She has since posted her reaction to her ex and his new “Material Girl” with the caption, “Didn’t see that one coming.”
