Job description: Overview:Job DescriptionPosition Title: Staff Accountant- SEC ReportingDepartment: AccountingReports To: SEC Reporting ManagerStatus: Exempt/ HybridLocation: Bensalem, PAHealthcare Services Group (HCSG) is currently seeking to fill the position of Staff Accountant – SEC Reporting to join our growing corporate team in Bensalem, PA! Responsibilities:Position SummaryThe Staff Accountant – SEC Reporting is a hybrid role that will report directly to the SEC Reporting Manager. You’ll be responsible for assisting in preparing the company’s financial statements as well as monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis for assigned accounts. The ideal candidate is diligent, detail-oriented, and willing to learn!Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing SEC filings including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other ad-hoc filings
• Assist with preparing annual proxy statements
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned areas
• Maintain internal controls for assigned areas and analyze account fluctuations
• Compile audit documentation including audit sample requests and documentation of internal controls performed
• Perform research covering new accounting guidance and other technical accounting matters and prepare memos covering findings
• Hybrid role that requires an in-office presence 3 days a week

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry
• CPA license or desire to pursue CPA license is a plus
• Familiarity with SEC filings and/or Wdesk is a plus
