Punjab Govt to Give Free Solar System for Consumers Using upto 200 Units – Startup Pakistan
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a new program to give free solar panels to people who use up to 200 units of electricity per month. This initiative is designed to help reduce the high electricity bills that have come with the new tariff rates that started on July 1.
In addition to providing free solar panels, the government will also offer interest-free loans to those who use between 200 and 500 units of electricity. For those who use more than 500 units, the government will cover 75% of the interest on their loans. This means that more people can get help with their electricity costs, regardless of how much they use.
Registration for this program has already started. Eligible residents will be informed through SMS about how they can participate and benefit from this scheme.
This initiative aims to promote the use of green energy and provide financial relief to consumers who are struggling with high electricity bills. It reflects the government’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and helping residents manage their energy expenses. The program is expected to make a significant difference for many households in Punjab by making solar energy more accessible and affordable.
