Popular Microbakery ‘The Loaf’ Launches Real Food Concept at Trinity School Lahore – Startup Pakistan
In an era where extravagant food dominates the restaurant culture in Lahore, Lahore’s premium Microbakery ‘The Loaf’ has always campaigned for the importance of real food. Gauhar Bano Qureshi, previously popular for spearheading the ‘Real Bread Campaign’ has now partnered with Trinity School Lahore to offer healthy and nutritious meals at their school dining hall.
Trinity School Lahore, formerly known as the International School of Choueifat, has revamped their cafeteria which is now heavily inspired by the Great Hall that every Harry Potter would want to eat at! This new partnership pledges to provide delicious food to all its students without putting their health at risk. With a variety of cuisines served throughout the month which are all calorie-counted and gluten-free meals, The Loaf promises to deliver a taste that every child will enjoy. Gauhar Bano Qureshi demerits the term ‘junk food’ by saying, “The single most important decision you take every day is what to feed your gut (a.k.a. your second brain). You will either pick food or you will pick junk. There’s no such thing as junk food.”
This new concept of providing ‘real healthy food’ to students every day seems to be an interesting backing from schools in Finland where ‘The Finnish School Feeding System’ advocates for well-balanced nutrition affecting learning of children and correlates with better focus during classes. This remains at the heart of Trinity School’s philosophy of encouraging learners to excel in education and nourish their students both physically and mentally.
