At the event, PM Sharif praised Google’s contributions both globally and locally. He emphasized the significant role that Pakistan’s young population could play in boosting the country’s economy through technology.
He also stressed the importance of government support for IT education and digital transformation, highlighting these as essential steps to tackle corruption and drive progress.
Farhan Qureshi from Google talked about how this initiative would benefit freelancers and tech professionals in Pakistan. He pointed out that the production of Chromebooks could lead to more job opportunities and economic growth in the technology sector.
