PM Shehbaz Sharif Met with Bill Gates in Islamabad – Startup Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Bill Gates in Islamabad to reaffirm his commitment to eradicating polio in Pakistan. Officials from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif talked about Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to fight polio and stressed the importance of continued cooperation with BMGF. He expressed his gratitude for the support that BMGF has provided and highlighted the success of recent vaccination campaigns.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that with the help of BMGF, Pakistan has made significant progress in combating polio. He noted that the recent vaccination drives have been very effective and that ongoing support and collaboration are essential to completely eliminate the disease from the country.

The meeting also covered other areas where Pakistan and the Gates Foundation could work together, such as using digital technology to boost economic development and improve public health. This visit from Bill Gates underscored the strong partnership between Pakistan and BMGF in the fight against polio and other public health challenges.
