PM Shehbaz Sharif Announces to Distribute Smartphones to 1 Million Students on Merit – Startup Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has introduced a significant new initiative aimed at supporting the education and development of Pakistani students. During a recent ceremony, he announced that the government will provide one million students with smartphones to help them in their studies. This effort is part of a broader plan to improve access to digital tools and education across the country.

In addition to the smartphone distribution, the government will offer free IT training to 200,000 young people every year. This training is designed to equip them with the skills needed in today’s digital economy.

The initiative also includes the distribution of laptops to students and a program to send young people to China for advanced training in agricultural studies. This move is expected to strengthen Pakistan’s agricultural sector by introducing modern techniques and knowledge.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that these initiatives are part of a larger strategy to reduce the digital divide in Pakistan and to support the youth in becoming more competitive in the global economy.

He also took the opportunity to commend Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem for his outstanding achievements, highlighting the importance of supporting and nurturing young talent in all fields.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister announced that a new five-year youth development program will be launched after August 14, aiming to provide even more opportunities for the country’s young population.

This comprehensive plan underscores the government’s commitment to investing in the future of Pakistan’s youth.
