The government is planning to increase fuel prices starting from July 16. Petrol prices are set to rise by Rs7.67 per litre, high-speed diesel by Rs3.72 per litre, and kerosene by Rs2.73 per litre. This decision is pending final approval from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The Ministry of Finance will officially announce these new prices tonight following discussions with the Prime Minister. Earlier indications on July 13 had already suggested these hikes, which are adding to concerns among consumers due to the ongoing inflationary pressures affecting the country.
