Pakistan’s Atif Butt won the Tekken 8 tournament at CEO 2024, held in Daytona Beach, Florida. This victory solidified his reputation as one of the world’s top Tekken players. Atif’s performance was outstanding throughout the tournament. He defeated Keisuke 2-0 in the winners’ semi-final and then Doujin 3-1 in the winners’ final.
In the grand final, Atif faced Keisuke again. Keisuke had made a comeback by defeating Doujin 3-0 in the losers’ final. Despite this, Atif maintained his winning streak and emerged victorious with a 3-2 win, securing the title.
CEO 2024 is an important event on the Tekken World Tour and is recognized as a Master Event for Tekken 8. Alongside Arslan Ash, another legendary player from Pakistan, Atif is considered one of the country’s best Tekken players. He first gained international fame by winning the Tekken World Tour 2022 Finals.
The tournament results highlighted the strong competition. Atif, playing as Dragunov, secured the top spot. Keisuke, playing as Kazuya, came in second place, and Doujin, who played multiple characters including Leo, Claudio, Feng, Lili, Shaheen, Law, Zafina, Leroy, and Lars, secured third place. Falcons’ JoKa, who played as Feng, finished in fourth place. KC’s JDCR, playing as Dragunov, and VARREL’s Ao, playing as Victor and Alisa, tied for fifth place.
Other notable players included NIP’s K-Wiss, who played as Hwoarang, and Bilal, who played as Bryan, rounding out the top positions. This tournament not only reinforced Atif’s dominance in the Tekken scene but also showcased the depth of talent in the competitive Tekken community.
