Pakistani Student ‘Dania Zaheer’ Severely Injured in Texas Hit and Run Incident – Startup Pakistan
Dania Zaheer, a student from Karachi, Pakistan, has been critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in Texas, USA. The incident occurred when a speeding vehicle struck her and then fled the scene. Despite ongoing efforts by local authorities, the driver of the vehicle has not yet been found.
Dania was in the US to pursue her MBA and had been making significant progress in her studies. Following the accident, she sustained multiple fractures and is now undergoing treatment at Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she remains hospitalized.
In response to the situation, Syed Javed Anwar, a prominent Pakistani-American businessman, has stepped forward to cover all of Dania’s medical expenses, ensuring that she receives the care she needs without financial burden.
The Pakistani Consul General in the US, along with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, has also offered their support. Deputy Prime Minister Dar has extended an offer to assist Dania’s family with arrangements to travel to the US, so they can be by her side during her recovery.
The combined efforts of these individuals and organizations reflect a strong community response to Dania’s unfortunate situation, highlighting the solidarity and support from both her home country and abroad.
