OceanGate Co-Founder Claims he can ‘Safely’ Put Humans on Venus – Startup Pakistan

Guillermo Söhnlein, co-founder of OceanGate, claims that sending humans to Venus safely is possible despite the planet’s harsh conditions. In a blog post from April, he outlined his ideas, suggesting the use of breathing apparatuses and materials that can resist acid to help people adapt to Venus’s environment.

Söhnlein believes that humans could live 50 kilometers above Venus’s surface, where the conditions are more similar to those on Earth. He argues that sending humans to Venus could even happen before colonizing Mars. He is now encouraging scientists, explorers, and investors to join him in this ambitious venture.

Söhnlein left OceanGate in 2020 and went on to establish the Humans2Venus Foundation and Space Bridge Partners, organizations dedicated to supporting space exploration.

His vision includes creating innovative solutions for living in space and advancing human presence beyond Earth. Söhnlein’s proposals are part of a broader effort to push the boundaries of what is possible in space exploration.
