Former England captain Michael Vaughan has praised Afghanistan as the second-best team in Asia following their historic triumph over Australia in the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup.

On June 23, Afghanistan secured their first-ever victory against the 2021 T20 champions and six-time winners of the 50-over format, bolstering their chances of advancing to the semi-finals.

Vaughan commended Afghanistan’s talented players and the outstanding leadership shown by Rashid Khan.
