Heatwave Melts Six-Foot Abraham Lincoln Wax Statue – Startup Pakistan
During an intense summer heatwave in Washington, DC, a six-foot-tall wax statue of Abraham Lincoln experienced an unexpected change at Garrison Elementary School.
The statue, crafted by artist Sandy Williams IV and funded by non-profit organization CulturalDC, started to melt drastically as temperatures soared to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
As the heat intensified, Lincoln’s head became detached, a leg separated from the body, and even the chair supporting him sank into the softened ground.
Despite attempts to protect it, the wax statue, designed to change like a candle, couldn’t withstand the extreme heat, leading to widespread attention with viral photos and discussions across the internet.
