British Newspaper The Telegraph Named Masjid al-Haram World’s Most Expensive Building – Startup Pakistan

According to a report by British newspaper The Telegraph, Masjid-ul-Haram in Makkah has been named the world’s most expensive construction project, with an astounding cost of $100 billion.

This mosque, which is the holiest site in Islam, covers an area of 400,800 square meters and can hold up to four million worshippers. The next most expensive site on the list is the Abraj al-Bayt (also known as the Clock Towers) in Makkah, which cost $15 billion to build.

The list also includes several other significant constructions from around the world. Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa and Marina Bay Sands are among them, known for their luxury and entertainment offerings.

In Las Vegas, The Cosmopolitan, a luxury resort and casino, also makes the list. Additionally, Mukesh Ambani’s residence, Antilia, in Mumbai, and the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai are highlighted as some of the most expensive buildings globally.

These projects showcase not only incredible architectural and engineering feats but also represent significant investments in infrastructure and tourism, attracting millions of visitors each year.
