All Branches in Sindh Start Issuing International Driving licences – Startup Pakistan

All 11 driving license branches in Sindh have started issuing international driving licenses, which was previously only available at the Clifton branch in Karachi. This service is now accessible online for residents of Sindh who have a valid driving license.

DIG for Training and Licensing, Iqbal Dara, announced that the online service began alongside operations at the 11 branches. The issuance of international driving licenses started on September 14, initially from six branches in Karachi, and has since expanded to divisional cities like Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana.

As of Thursday, 693 international driving permits have been issued. The Clifton branch issued the most, followed by the Nazimabad branch with 104 permits and Hyderabad with 52. Other branches, such as Korangi, Malir, and Saeedabad, issued fewer permits.

So far, only two applicants have used the online option to obtain their permits. The online service allows Sindh residents to apply for permits without visiting a branch, and the TCS courier service delivers the permits to them. DIG Iqbal Dara also noted that an online payment system is available for the Rs1,088 fee for issuing these permits.
