Pakistan and Turkmenistan to Sign Agreement on Gwadar Port Acess – Startup Pakistan
Pakistan and Turkmenistan are preparing to sign an agreement that will give Turkmenistan access to Gwadar Port, marking the first time a Central Asian country will benefit from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
This agreement is part of a broader effort to strengthen connections between South and Central Asia through joint projects like the TAPI pipeline, new railways, and fiber optic connectivity.The Pakistani government, supported by institutions, political parties, and the people of Balochistan, is committed to fully leveraging the potential of CPEC.
Additionally, a committee is considering plans to channel 50% of public sector imports through Gwadar. This initiative is seen as crucial for Pakistan’s economic growth and future development.
