Job description: Job Description:We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.Responsibilities:

Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions

Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

Maintain the general ledger and make necessary journal entries

Oversee month-end close processes

Utilize various software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for accounting tasks

Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting tasks

Assist in the resolution of customer inquiries related to accounting

Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP
Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
Understanding and experience with bank reconciliations
Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
Professional certification like CMA or CPA is a plus
Willingness to continually update knowledge and skills in the accounting field.
