UAE Confers Soft Diplomacy Award in Saylani Trust Founder Maulana Bashir Farooqui Qadri – Startup Pakistan

Maulana Bashir Farooqui Qadri, the founder and chairman of Saylani Welfare International Trust, has been recognized with the Soft Diplomacy Award by the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This prestigious award honors his remarkable efforts in fostering and strengthening the relationship between the UAE and Pakistan.The award was presented at a ceremony held to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day at the UAE Consulate General in Karachi.

During the event, UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumaithi spoke about the strong and lasting ties between the two countries, which have spanned over six decades. He acknowledged the valuable contributions made by Pakistanis to the development of the UAE and emphasized the enduring friendship between the two nations. The event also featured a special message from the UAE’s Minister for Interfaith Harmony, which was in line with the celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence Day.In addition to Maulana Bashir Farooqui’s recognition, individuals from various fields, including health, education, sports, journalism, climate change, aviation, and culture, were also awarded certificates of appreciation for their contributions.

At the event, Maulana Bashir Farooqui spoke about the future plans of the Saylani Trust, particularly its aim to produce 10 million skilled graduates capable of earning $1 billion annually. This initiative is part of the Trust’s efforts to help address Pakistan’s economic challenges. He shared this vision during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Saylani School of Emerging Sciences and Skills Education in Naya Nazimabad. The school will focus on training graduates in IT and various technical trades, preparing them for the global market.Furthermore, Maulana Farooqui highlighted the significant role the Saylani Trust has played in enhancing Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves. Through its extensive IT training program, the Trust has trained hundreds of thousands of graduates, many of whom are now earning income in dollars through freelancing, thereby contributing to the country’s economic stability.
