Bangladeshi Cricketers Frustrated Over Slow Internet During Pakistan Tour – Startup Pakistan

The Bangladeshi cricket team, currently in Lahore for a two-Test series against Pakistan, is facing challenges due to slow internet speeds. The players, who have been in Lahore for four days of training, are finding it difficult to stay connected with their families back home because of the poor connectivity.

This issue has been a source of frustration for the team as they try to focus on their preparations for the upcoming matches.

Although the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not received any formal complaints from the Bangladeshi team management, the slow internet speeds have clearly been a concern.

This problem isn’t new, as slow internet speeds have been a widespread issue in Pakistan lately. According to the Wireless and Internet Service Providers Association of Pakistan (WISPAP), there has been a significant 30 to 40 percent decrease in internet speeds across the country in recent weeks. This decline in connectivity has affected not just the general public but also the visiting Bangladeshi cricketers.

The difficulties caused by the slow internet have added to the challenges the Bangladeshi players are already facing as they gear up for the Test series against Pakistan.

Being away from home for an extended period can be tough, and the ability to easily communicate with loved ones is crucial for the players’ peace of mind. The current situation with the internet is making it harder for them to stay connected, which could potentially impact their overall experience in Pakistan.

While the PCB has not yet been officially approached about the issue, it is likely that they will need to address it to ensure the visiting team’s comfort and focus during their stay.

Providing reliable internet access is a basic necessity, especially for international teams who are away from home. By resolving this problem, the PCB can help create a more hospitable environment for the Bangladeshi cricketers as they prepare for their important matches against Pakistan.
