On Tuesday, the reporter and fitness influencer shared a video on Instagram where she clapped back at the “backlash and embarrassment” she’s received since her ex started dating the pop star. In the video, Kayla addressed the letter to “Black women, specifically,” explaining that her goal in sharing this is not to “create division but to elevate and unite” listeners. “They’ll say you deserve the backlash and embarrassment. Because of your Blackness, you should have known better. They’ll even try to tie your value to your net worth. But Black girl, please remember your value lies elsewhere. Your value is deep within your heart,” she said. The 31-year-old model dated the NFL star on an off from 2017 to 2022. Travis was linked to Taylor in September.
