1 Million Eco-Friendly Tourists Visit Galiyat Valley This Year – Startup Pakistan
The Director General of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Shahrukh Ali, has stressed the importance of promoting eco-friendly tourism in the Galiyat Valley, which has seen more than 1 million visitors this year. He talked about the government’s commitment to sustainable tourism, which means protecting the environment while also encouraging economic growth and preserving cultural heritage.
Shahrukh Ali pointed out that the government wants to make sure tourism benefits both the environment and the people living there. The upcoming theme for 2024, “Tourism and Peace,” will focus on making Galiyat a model of sustainable tourism. To support this goal, the Galiyat Tourism Authority is working on several new projects.
One of the main initiatives is the construction of state-of-the-art parking facilities. These new facilities will help manage the increasing number of tourists while reducing the traffic congestion that affects the natural environment. Additionally, over 50 hotels in the area are being registered to ensure they meet quality standards, providing better services for visitors.
These combined efforts aim to make Galiyat Valley a top sustainable tourism destination, attracting more tourists who are interested in experiencing nature without harming it. The government’s focus is on enhancing the experience for visitors while preserving the beautiful landscapes and culture of Galiyat, making it a place where tourism can thrive in a responsible and eco-friendly way.
