🚨JUST IN🚨 Philadelphia Eagles Get AMAZING News + Dak Prescott Contract, Jalen Hurts vs. Blitz

The Dallas Cowboys have made Dak Prescott the richest player in the history of the NFL, signing him to a 4-year contract, worth $240 million. $60 million per season. Dak Prescott becomes the first player in NFL history to make $60 million in average annual salary.

I think this is great news for the Philadelphia Eagles
He is 73-41 in his career in the regular season
He is 9-4 against the Eagles in his career
The only sub .500 regular season he’s had: 2020 when he went 2-3 and suffered a season ending injury
202 TD – 74 INTs
When you’re in QB purgatory and in search of a QB, floating in mediocrity, you’re usually a bad team, so the Cowboys had no choice but to pay him
BUT, he is 2-5 in his playoff career, consistently shows up small in big games and you never really take him seriously in the biggest of moments
Cowboys have no committed big-time money to Dak & CeeDeeLamb. What does this mean for Micah Parsons? Going to be interesting

Another good sign for Jalen Hurts and how Kellen Moore is helping to elevate him:
QB Jalen Hurts vs. the blitz:
– 6 of 8 for 91 yards (11.4 ypa) and 1 TD, 1 scramble, per PFF
– The Packers didn’t send extra rushers at Hurts at that high of a rate (9 of 39 drops, 23.1 pct.), to some surprise, but having relative early success probably factored into that.

Jalen Hurts with motion:
15-of-21, 212 yards, 10.1 YPA, 2 TDs
Jalen Hurts without motion:
5-of-13, 66 yards, 5.1 YPA, 0 TD, 2 INTs
Kellen Moore used motion at a 66% rate, the Eagles highest mark since 2020 and WELL above their 35% rate from 2023, via

I would expect teams to send more pressure toward Hurts, but when the Packers did send pressure, Hurts did a good job of recognizing it and the playcalling and play designs were smart because the Eagles had answers against the blitz.

Casuals will tell you the Eagles defense sucked vs. Green Bay – They helped win the game for Philadelphia – Holding the Packers to 6 early set the tone
While the Eagles gave up 414 total net yards, they limited Green Bay to a 3-of-11 performance on third downs. They came up with a couple of sacks and pressured quarterback Jordan Love into 17 completions on 34 attempts. Coordinator Vic Fangio has some teaching points as the Eagles gave up too many big plays, but there were good things to see with this defense.
